IPL 2025 Updated Schedule: Why the Playoffs Were Shifted from Kolkata’s Eden Gardens?

The final phase of IPL 2025 will resume on May 17 after a nine-day break due to cross-border tensions. Although Kolkata’s Eden Gardens was originally set to host the final, the venue has been dropped as the BCCI decided to shift the remaining league matches to six other cities — Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The final has also been postponed from May 25 to June 3. Playoff venues have not been officially confirmed yet, but all 17 remaining matches will be held across the listed six cities.
